Marshall-Putnam County 2009 Fair Queen

Samantha Dunphy of Lacon prepares for competetion at the 100th Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs January 14-17 in Springfield, IL. Samantha will compete with 66 other young women representing County fairs through out Illinois. Samantha modeled outfits she will be wearing for the competetion. Suits for the interview, and stage, swimsuit, and evening gown. Samantha competes on stage Sat. at 1:00 p.m. Smantha's 1 minute talk which she will give on stage was about the windmills in Marshall county. Best of Luck in the competetion.

Trunk or Treat

Marshall-Putnam Special Events participates in the Second annual Trunk or Treat at the Henry Christian Church new resurfaced parking lot. Crisp night with cool Treats and many kids. A good time was had by all.

M-P Fair At Henry Expo 2009

Marshall-Putnam "Western-A-Fair" was previewed at the Henry Expo Oct. 11,2009. The event was held at the M-P Fairgrounds.

Harvest Time Havoc

The M-P Fair is having its first fall Demo Derby. To be held Sept. 19,2009 at the fair grounds. Starting the event will be a bags tournament, registration at 8:30 a.m. and beginning at 9:00 am. There will be food and the beer garden. DJ is GSP Promotions from Chillicothe. Come and be part of the first Harvest Time Havoc.

KROGER KOOKIE STACKING HAS BECOME ONE OF M-P FAIR GOERS FAVORITE CONTEST TO PARTICIPATE IN. THE CONTEST HAS 3 AGE GROUPS. WITH PRIZES FOR THE 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD PLACE IN EACH GROUP. THIS WAS HELD JULY 8,2009

M-P FAIR QUEENS

The Marshall-Putnam Fair Royalty was crowned July 8, 2009. Queen Samantha Dunphy of Lacon, Jr. Miss Grace Cook of Henry, and Little Miss Nadia Kessling of Henry. Hugging the new Queen Alaine Noll the 2008 Fair Queen. Samantha will be competing in the Miss Illinois County Pageant to be held during the IAAF meeting in January 2010.

The PUMPIN' IRON MAGIC SHOW BY BRIAN KOCHER AND COMPANY
PERFORMED JULY 11 AT THE M-P FAIR. THEY DID MAGIC AND MADE A PERSON APPEAR IN HIS MAGIC BOX. EVEN WITH THE RAIN WE HAD ONE OF THE BIGGEST CROWDS EVER.
