M-P FAIR QUEENS

The Marshall-Putnam Fair Royalty was crowned July 8, 2009. Queen Samantha Dunphy of Lacon, Jr. Miss Grace Cook of Henry, and Little Miss Nadia Kessling of Henry. Hugging the new Queen Alaine Noll the 2008 Fair Queen. Samantha will be competing in the Miss Illinois County Pageant to be held during the IAAF meeting in January 2010.

MAGIC SHOW AT M-P FAIR



PUMPIN' IRON MAGIC SHOW

The PUMPIN' IRON MAGIC SHOW BY BRIAN KOCHER AND COMPANY
PERFORMED JULY 11 AT THE M-P FAIR. THEY DID MAGIC AND MADE A PERSON APPEAR IN HIS MAGIC BOX. EVEN WITH THE RAIN WE HAD ONE OF THE BIGGEST CROWDS EVER.

Taste of M-P Fair


The 2009 Sportin' Cook-Off welcomed a new category this year, Sports Snacks for Kids only sponsored by St. Joseph Nursing Home of Lacon.












In the men's category PC Foods 0f Granville sponsored Tailgate Hooray















Viva Italia was sponsored by Bernardi Italian Food Co. of Toluca

Red Hat Laddies Visit M-P Fair


The fifth annual Red Hat Ladies Day was held July 11,2009, at the M-P Fair.
First the Red Hat Ladies emceed by Harriet Cowell read poems and trivia questions were asked. The Ladies paraded around the Commercial Building. Then the winners were announced for the top 3 winners of the hat contest and costume contest. Fun was had by all.
