M-P Fair Annual Spaghetti Dinner
Coming soon the 13th Annual M-P Fair Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. April 12, 2010 held at the Club La-Con in Lacon, IL. The event is from 4:30 to 8:00 pm. Dine-In or Carry-Out for only $6.00 a ticket. Tickets can be bought at the door or by a fair person. Plenty of good food: spaghetti, salad. bread, homemade desserts, and coffee or tea. This event is always a crowd pleaser. IAAF Convention
Marshall-Putnam Fair attended the 100th Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs Convention Jan. 15 to 17, 2010. M-P Fair Fair 2009 Fair Queen Samantha Dunphy (first left) competed in the 51st Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant. Queen Samantha Competed against 66 other county fair queens from the state of Illinois.Queen Samantha sis a wonderful job of representing the M-P Fair with poise and grace.
Also representing the fair was Morgan Friedrich of Henry, in the Junior State Talent Contest with a flute solo.
Marshall-Putnam fairboard members and other M-P Fair volunteers attended the 100th IAAF Convention. Representatives attended keynote speakers talks on "Watching for the Ferris Wheel" and " The IAFE Steps up for You." Another feature attended was the Round Tables, a time to share ideas with fairs throughout Illinois. The IAAF Convention is a time to connect with fair friends, learn new ideas, and get re-energized for the next fair season.

M-P Fair Queen Tea
Samantha Dunphy of Lacon prepares for competetion at the 100th Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs January 14-17 in Springfield, IL. Samantha will compete with 66 other young women representing County fairs through out Illinois. Samantha modeled outfits she will be wearing for the competetion. Suits for the interview, and stage, swimsuit, and evening gown. Samantha competes on stage Sat. at 1:00 p.m. Smantha's 1 minute talk which she will give on stage was about the windmills in Marshall county. Best of Luck in the competetion.
