BAGS TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION AT 10:30 am. BEGINS AT 11:00 am.

DEMOLITION DERBY BEGINS AT 4:00 pm.

FOOD WILL BE SERVED ON THE FAIR GROUNDS.

M-P Fair Annual Spaghetti Dinner

Coming soon the 13th Annual M-P Fair Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. April 12, 2010 held at the Club La-Con in Lacon, IL. The event is from 4:30 to 8:00 pm. Dine-In or Carry-Out for only $6.00 a ticket. Tickets can be bought at the door or by a fair person. Plenty of good food: spaghetti, salad. bread, homemade desserts, and coffee or tea. This event is always a crowd pleaser. Winners

Winners of the drawing at the M-P Fair booth at the Lacon Expo 2010 were Catherine Bertrand
and Diane Wenninger. The drawing included a 2009 basket, theme T-shirt, and M-P Fair History Book. Thank you to everyone that attended and hope to see you at the M-P Fair July 7-11, 2009. Don't forget the 2010 theme is Western-A-Fair.

Lacon Expo

The Marshall-Putnam Fair participates at the 2nd annual Lacon Expo, on Feb. 21, 2010.

M-P History Book

Marshall-Putnam Fair History Book the first 75 years. Come to Our Fair, by Helen Gould Raffensperger. Copies of the book are $15.00 and can be obtained at the M-P Fair office. The office will be staffed on Tue. and Thur. at the time being. Or call 309-364-2814. Learn the history of the M-P Fair.

IAAF Convention

Marshall-Putnam Fair attended the 100th Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs Convention Jan. 15 to 17, 2010. M-P Fair Fair 2009 Fair Queen Samantha Dunphy (first left) competed in the 51st Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant. Queen Samantha Competed against 66 other county fair queens from the state of Illinois.Queen Samantha sis a wonderful job of representing the M-P Fair with poise and grace.
Also representing the fair was Morgan Friedrich of Henry, in the Junior State Talent Contest with a flute solo.

Marshall-Putnam fairboard members and other M-P Fair volunteers attended the 100th IAAF Convention. Representatives attended keynote speakers talks on "Watching for the Ferris Wheel" and " The IAFE Steps up for You." Another feature attended was the Round Tables, a time to share ideas with fairs throughout Illinois. The IAAF Convention is a time to connect with fair friends, learn new ideas, and get re-energized for the next fair season.
