Taste of M-P Fair


The 2009 Sportin' Cook-Off welcomed a new category this year, Sports Snacks for Kids only sponsored by St. Joseph Nursing Home of Lacon.












In the men's category PC Foods 0f Granville sponsored Tailgate Hooray















Viva Italia was sponsored by Bernardi Italian Food Co. of Toluca

Red Hat Laddies Visit M-P Fair


The fifth annual Red Hat Ladies Day was held July 11,2009, at the M-P Fair.
First the Red Hat Ladies emceed by Harriet Cowell read poems and trivia questions were asked. The Ladies paraded around the Commercial Building. Then the winners were announced for the top 3 winners of the hat contest and costume contest. Fun was had by all.

M-P Fair Theme

The 2009 Marshall-Putnam Fair July 8-12 with the new theme
Sportin'-A-Fair. The Special Events committee is working to come up with ideas to carry out the new theme. Look for more information to come. Like the Kick-Off event of a special Hunt. This year we will be featuring a Football Hunt. A clay football will be hidden in the community parks in Marshall and Putnam counties. Fairbucks and a chances to win $25.00 will be the prize.

TRUNK OR TREAT

The Marshall-Putnam Fair participated in the Trunk or Treat held at the First Christian Church in Henry. IL., on Oct. 31, 2008. We used the new 2009 fair theme Sportin'-A-Fair. Nearly 200 children attended the event.

M-P Fair Spaghetti Dinner


M-P Fair Spaghetti Dinner service over 700 on April 6, 2009. The fund raiser was held at the
Club LaCon in Lacon Il. The M-P Fair Board, spouses, and friends of the fair helped prepare food, serve food, and clean-up. The M-P Fair Board thanked Woody with a plaque.
